female equivalent of Shounen. The story often centers around romance and love and is closely tied to the Romance and Drama genres

 male equivalent of Josei manga. Seinen titles are typically darker and more mature than their Shonen counterparts.

female equivalent to Seinen manga. Unlike shoujo manga, the romance is more realistic and less idealized. The storytelling is more explicit and mature.
